Using a checklist can be very helpful at many stages I the design process. For example, a checklist for a briefing meeting would simply be a list of questions, prepared beforehand, that the designer will use as a prompt (see Chapter 6). Enough knowledge of a situation is required to enable a checklist to be developed that covers the right question. Use of a properly prepared checklist should ensure that the designer does not forget to ask for any necessary information and this should help avoid misunderstandings that might create problems later in the design process.
