WHY YOU SHOULD EXHIBIT
About the event
The Textile Art Festival is an event celebrating creative textile craft in Australia. The Textile Art Festival is for lovers of wearable art, surface decoration, knitting, crochet, embroidery, embellishment - in fact anything to do with fibre, yarn or fabric. The event features displays, stage presentations and educational sessions with a fantastic line-up of tutors presenting a three-day program of hands-on classes and an expo where visitors can stock up on textile supplies. The Textile Art Festival is brought to you by Expertise Events, the organisers of Australia's favourite craft events, The Craft & Quilt Fair, The Australasian Quilt Convention and The Australian Scrapbook Expo.

Exhibiting at the Expo
Retailers from around Australia, selling specialist fibres, yarns, threads, fabrics, dyes, tools and machines, and much more will set up Australia’s biggest textile art shop for three days only.

Our exhibitors know that Expertise Events is passionate about craft and our events work. You are supported by a professional and successful team, and our events annually attract in excess of 240,000 visitors and create a unique buying environment unlike any other.

Key media partners deliver a large target audience

"Our knowledge and experience has built a solid foundation from which you can create business success - and every step of the way, we will be there to help." Gary Fitz-Roy, founder and managing director of Expertise Events.

Stand Package:
The Textile Art Festival features a ‘walk on’ stand solution for exhibitors. This means when you arrive at the Expo, your stand is set up and all you have to do is dress and decorate it.

Stand packages include a 4sqm space, consisting of a 2m back wall, side walls, 1 x table, 2 x chairs and company sign mounted on the back wall.

You can book a single stand (4sqm or 2m x 2m), a double stand (8sqm or 2m deep x 4m wide) or a triple stand (12sqm or 2m deep x 6m wide).

POSTCARD COMPETITION

Sew yourself a postcard… and win a great prize!
Down Under Textiles magazine is running a great Challenge - with the finalists to be put on display at the Textile Art Festival in Brisbane on the June long weekend. Add to that a first prize of a Janome embellishing machine worth $399 and exquisite threads by Gutermann valued at $206 as runner-up, and all you'll need to know is what you have to do!

The Challenge is to make a Textile-art Postcard with the theme, 'Down Under' - how easy is that? So, on your marks, get set and - GO!

The 'technical details' are that artworks submitted must measure 10cm x 15cm (4in x 6in), and be created to the theme - Down Under.
They must include a minimum of two layers, the top layer of which can feature any type of textile technique and/or embellishment desired.
• This competition is open to Australian residents only.
• Deadline for your artwork to be received by Creative Living Media is May 13, 2011.
• Works will be returned in July 2011.
• A selection of submitted artworks will be displayed at the 2011 Textile Art Festival.
• The winning artwork, and a selection of others, will feature in the September 2011 issue of Down Under Textiles.
• Submitting an entry implies permission for your artwork to be photographed and used in promotion of the Textile Art Festival and/or Down Under Textiles magazine.
• No entry submitted can breach another person's or entity's copyright; all work must be original.
